Who I am

Longtime Austinite, outdoorsman and gamer - I embrace both the natural and digital worlds to inspire design that speaks to natural tendency and an intuitive sense of flow.

In my work I draw on my experience playing my favorite titles such as Metroid Prime, Halo, Gears of War and Monster Hunter: World, just to name a few. I am constantly playing and studying the biggest games of the year to learn from the masters in our industry and assemble my own take on their offering.

Through my time making games I have learned so much and am constantly humbled by the great teams I’ve had the privilege in being a part of, a few highlights:

  • Experience in highly collaborative triple-AAA and independent studios with aggressive creative direction and deadlines.

  • Emphasis in level design, encounter design, puzzle design, systems prototyping and creative writing.

  • Keen artistic eye for setting up composition shots in Level blockouts and leveraging theme into gameplay identity.

I think what I enjoy most about this industry is how games bring people together through shared experience, and I’m not just talking about the players! Behind the scene where we plan and craft, where we shape what comes next. The coalescence of all we’ve learned and been through as a team, there is no greater force of nature!
